Water-based epoxy mortar is composed of water-based epoxy resin, curing agent, and graded aggregates, specifically designed for the repair of concrete structures. In bridge deck repair applications, this material demonstrates multiple advantages: its water-based system contains no volatile organic solvents, emits no irritating odors during construction, and meets the requirements for enclosed space operations; it achieves a bond strength with the concrete substrate of over 3.0 MPa and a compressive strength exceeding 60 MPa, effectively restoring structural load-bearing capacity; the material exhibits excellent thixotropy, preventing sagging during overhead application, with a single plastering thickness of up to 30 mm; it achieves walking strength within 4 hours, significantly reducing traffic closure time.

This material is particularly suitable for addressing common defects in bridge decks such as spalling of the protective layer, exposed reinforcement, and honeycombing, restoring structural integrity and smoothness. During construction, loose concrete must first be chipped away, followed by derusting and rust prevention treatment for the reinforcement. The substrate should be saturated with water before applying an epoxy interface agent, and the material should be compacted and leveled in layers. The repaired surface can directly serve as the substrate for waterproofing membrane application, forming a complete protective system.
